The journal was discontinued with issue 31|2025, and no new issues will be published!

» Peer Review Process
For quality assurance, the contributions to the journal were subjected to a double-blind peer-review process, i.e., the anonymized contributions were submitted to two "peers" – i.e., colleagues with relevant knowledge. The respective authors did not know who was doing the peer review. In most cases, there was a list of questions to ensure quality. At the end of the review, the peer reviewers made a recommendation to publish the article, possibly accompanied by revision requirements, or even a recommendation not to publish the article.

» Open Access
FZG was published with a 24-month embargo period. Every issue will be/was provided for Open Access 24 months after the date of publication. An overview of current issues and contributions in Open Access can be found here.
