» Peer Review Process
For quality assurance, the contributions to the journal are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process, i.e., the anonymized contributions are submitted to two "peers" – i.e., colleagues with relevant knowledge. The respective authors do not know who is doing the peer review. In most cases, there is a list of questions to ensure quality. At the end of the review, the peer reviewers make a recommendation to publish the article, possibly accompanied by revision requirements, or even a recommendation not to publish the article.

» Code of Conduct for Reviews
The ZPTh strives for respectful interaction. The necessary objective criticism must not exceed the threshold of personal hostility. The editors and publishers therefore see it as one of their tasks to draw attention to passages that are not respectful and to make suggestions for changes. In such cases, our first priority is always to find amicable solutions with our reviewers. Should this not succeed in exceptional cases, we reserve the right to refrain from printing a review text altogether.

» Open Access & Open Express
ZPTh is published with a 24-month embargo period. Every issue will be provided for Open Access 24 months after the date of publication. An overview of current issues and contributions in Open Access can be found here. With our Open Express offer, we offer you to release your contribution for Open Access before the 24-month embargo period expires. You can find more information here.
