In the past decade, the use of drones has constantly increased, especially in the US military’s global fight against terrorists. At a time when the acquisition of drones is widely debated, it is worth scrutinizing how the use of such technologies is legitimized. How do proponents use the visualization of possible worst-case scenarios to justify preemptive drone strikes and what does this mean for the reduction of risks?
