» General Information
Student papers are scientific papers! For a long time, students were alone with this principle. Term papers and exams were actually only written for the lecturer, while students became true masters of academic work through numerous exams and different modules in their studies.

But unfortunately, no one can read these papers because they don't know who is writing to what. Even excellently graded papers usually remain in the drawers and filing cabinets of lecturers and on the hard drives of students. We want to change that with DNGPS and offer a publishing space for students by initiating a working paper series. Compared to the usual journals, the series has the following advantages:
- no call for paper deadlines
- publication as soon as possible after submission of the paper
- publications from the entire field of political and social sciences

In addition to these benefits, the working paper series also offers peer review, open access to all papers, a consistent layout (including citation and bibliography), and a PDF document to download the paper, as well as an associated link for all published papers.

As a DNGPS member you can submit your work exclusively. If you are interested in making your work available to others and entering into a dialogue with them, you are welcome to send it to the following address: working-paper@dngps.de.

The submission of papers for our working papers is exclusively reserved for our members. Membership is also possible after submission and acceptance of the paper.

You can find all further information, including author instructions (PDF) and information on the peer review process (PDF), here.

» Peer Review Process
The goal of DNGPS is to give students the opportunity to gain their first experience in publishing scientific texts. For this purpose, we have initiated an association-owned working paper series and organized a constructive peer review process. In order to guarantee a fair and objective review process, the decisions are coordinated between the association, the editorial board, the advisory board and external reviewers.

The following criteria are decisive for the review process:
- originality of the manuscript;
- comprehensibility of the manuscript;
- coherent argumentation and
- clear presentation of results

Submitted manuscripts must not give any indication of the identity of the authors (anonymous procedure). Manuscripts are evaluated anonymously by two reviewers (double-blind procedure). The authorship information for the manuscripts must be given on a separate cover sheet (see must be indicated on a separate cover sheet (see the information sheet for authors). authors), to which the reviewers do not have access. The editorial office will not present this cover sheet to the reviewers.

The decision on the acceptance of a contribution and the comments derived from the review process are sent to the authors by e-mail after the review. Authors will be informed whether:
- their contribution has been accepted;
- their contribution is accepted and published after revisions;
- their contribution can be resubmitted after revisions;
- their contribution has been rejected.

After a manuscript has been accepted, the editorial office will provide the finished version to the authors for review as well as coordinate the publication.
