Abstract
Der Debattenbeitrag gibt einen aktuellen Einblick in die Umstellung der Sozialpolitik in Kenia auf datengestützte Personenerfassung. Seine Untersuchung kommt zum Ergebnis, dass sich die Versprechungen der Nutzung biometrischer Identifizierung in vielerlei Hinsicht als trügerisch erwiesen haben.
