Anna Simstich is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Public Administration, specializing in Digital Government, at Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. She completed her doctorate at the Hertie School in spring 2025. Her research focuses on the relationship between politics and administration, comparative administrative research, and circular economy policy. Since 2018, she has been involved in the editorial team of the journal dms – der moderne staat. Her academic career also includes a Master of Public Policy (Hertie School) and a German-French double bachelor's degree in political and social sciences (Sciences Po Paris and Freie Universität Berlin).
