Julia Trautendorfer is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Institute for Public and Nonprofit Management at Johannes Kepler University Linz, where she received her doctorate in 2024. Her research focuses on participatory governance, accountability, and transparency in the public sector, particularly freedom of information and citizen-state interaction with regard to information exchange. She has completed research stays at the ULB Université libre de Bruxelles, the University of Antwerp, and the Hertie School Berlin. Prior to her doctorate, she completed a master's degree in international business at the University of Vienna and a bachelor's degree in economics and social sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
