Nutrition education in the context of sustainability – challenge and potential at secondary school level

Abstract

Sustainability-oriented nutrition education promotes understanding of the ecological, healthrelated, and social dimensions of the food system and aims to encourage learners to act responsibly. Schools offer significant potential in this regard. This paper presents a qualitative study exploring how sustainability-oriented cooking in practical kitchen lessons can support the achievement of these goals.
