Pädagogische Korrespondenz (PÄK) has been published twice a year since 1987 with the aim of making critical diagnoses of the times in pedagogy and society. Until 2021 it was published by the „Institute for Pedagogy and Society“ (Münster).
The critical diagnosis of the times is carried out: a) by case studies, which are devoted to factual aspects of the reality of upbringing, education and didactics on the basis of natural protocols, b) by essays, with which critical thinking proves its diagnostic power vis-à-vis the "state of affairs", c) by historical texts, whose re-reading is pending, d) by presenting results of pedagogical-empirical research, e) by studies, which direct the view to terrain so far unexplored by pedagogy.
Pädagogische Korrespondenz offers a broad spectrum of critical pedagogy. The contributions provide methodologically conscious, precise argumentation and are as illuminating for reading practitioners as they are for scholars.
