The DVPB is the professional association for civic education in Germany, a non-partisan and independent association of teachers, academics and all those who teach civic learning in the broadest sense in school and out-of-school youth and adult education.

Political, social and economic problems and processes are addressed in their mutual relationships.

The individual issues of the journal are characterized by special topics, their practical relevance and an extensive review section.

Two double issues are published annually.
