Learning Consumer Education in Extracurricular Contexts
Main Article Content
Abstract
Augmenting formal consumer education curricula (i.e., decision making, resource management, and citizen participation) with nonformal (intentional) and informal (incidental) extracurricular activities provides a well-rounded, holistic education leading to empowered and fiscally and socially responsible consumer citizens. This narrative review paper explores the rich benefits afforded when learning consumer education concepts in extracurricular contexts.
