» Permanent Call for Papers
In addition to the thematic foci in each issue of ZeM, there is an open section in which non-thematic contributions relevant to migration research in educational science are also published. International contributions and/or contributions written in English as well as contributions from neighboring disciplines are especially welcome here. Submissions for these open parts are possible at any time. The permanent call for papers can be found here.

» Peer Review Process
For quality assurance, the contributions to the journal are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process, i.e., the anonymized contributions are submitted to two "peers" – i.e., colleagues with relevant knowledge. The respective authors do not know who is doing the peer review. In most cases, there is a list of questions to ensure quality. At the end of the review, the peer reviewers make a recommendation to publish the article, possibly accompanied by revision requirements, or even a recommendation not to publish the article.

» Open Access & Open Express
ZeM is published with a 24-month embargo period. Every issue will be provided for Open Access 24 months after the date of publication (license: CC BY 4.0). An overview of current issues and contributions in Open Access can be found here. With our Open Express offer, we offer you to release your contribution for Open Access before the 24-month embargo period expires. You can find more information here.
