» Peer Review Process
The journal uses the anonymous peer review procedure for the main articles and the free articles. Each manuscript is submitted anonymously to at least two reviewers. The publishers and editors reserve the right to a longer review period, as the reviewers are volunteers. Submitted contributions are accepted if both reviewers vote positively. If only one of the two reviewers votes for the acceptance of the manuscript, a third reviewer will be consulted. In cases of doubt, the managing body decides in consultation with the reviewer who voted for rejection.

Four different levels of review are possible:
1. accept as is = acceptance of the manuscript without revision.
2. minor revisions = acceptance of the manuscript with minor revisions (incl. letter on the changes made, review by management/editors)
3. resubmit = rejection of the manuscript with the possibility of re-review (incl. letter regarding the changes made, review by the reviewers)
4. reject = Rejection of the manuscript in principle.

In the case of stage 2 or 3, the anonymized comments of the reviewers are sent to the authors with instructions for revision and the request to document these in detail in a cover letter. In the case of stage 2, the management/editors decide whether the contribution is accepted. At stage 3, the article is resubmitted to the reviewers for consideration of the changes made. If one reviewer votes for stage 4 and the second for stage 1, 2 or 3, a third review will be obtained.
