Budrich Journals is the online platform for the scientific journals of Verlag Barbara Budrich from the fields of Education, Gender Studies, Methodological Research, Politics/Civic Education, Social Work and Society.

Your library/institution is already a subscriber of one or more of our more than 20 scholarly journals or you are interested in one or more new subscriptions? We would like to inform you (errors and omissions excepted) about our services for libraries/institutions.

» Institutional Subscriptions
Subscription Types:
You can choose from three diffeent institutional subscription types: print, online-only, print+online.

1) Print: Your library/institution will receive the single issues of the journal(s) via post.
2) Online-Only: Your library/institution will get free online access to the entire full-text archives of the subscribed journal(s) as long as your subscription is active.
3) Print+Online: Your library/institution will receive the single issues of the journal(s) via post and will get free online access to the entire full-text archives of the subscribed journal(s) as long as your subscription is active.

Termination of your Institutional Subscription:
Subscriptions automatically extend by one year. Please send us your written termination via post or e-mail. Period of notice normally is three months until the end of the year (please note the period of notice of each journal).

Online Access:
When subscribing to Institutionen-Online as well as Institutionen-Print+Online, your library/institution acquires the campus license (including remote access via VPN) via IP with free online access to the complete full-text archive of the subscribed journal(s). There is no limitation of the number of users to Budrich Journals. All individual articles from older and recently published issues of Budrich Journals are available for direct download (PDF).

Online Access Requirements:
For an online-only subscription and for a combined subscription print+online we need the IP range of your library/institution. We also are in need of a contact person with an e-mail address, because an user account is required for the activation. After we assigned your IP range to the relative subscription there is no need for a login on your side.

Archival Rights:
Your library/institution acquires the archival rights for all subscribed volumes with conclusion of an online-only subscription and a combined subscription print+online.

Interlibrary Loan:
An interlibrary loan is permitted nationally and internationally for printed issues or printed copies of the subscribed volumes. An interlibrary loan is permitted nationally and internationally for electronic articles by printout and mailing (post or fax) or by a secure transmission.
