Budrich Journals is the online platform for the scientific journals of Verlag Barbara Budrich from the fields of Education, Gender Studies, Methodological Research, Politics/Civic Education, Social Work and Society.
You are already an author of our publishing house or you are interested in a publication in one of our more than 20 scholarly journals? We would like to inform you (errors and omissions excepted) about our service and the benefits for you as an author.
» Author discount
As an author of one of our journals, you are entitled to our author
discount of 10% on journal issues and subscriptions and 30% on all book
publications. To receive the discount on printed and digital books and
journals, simply create an
user account in our online shop
and send an
e-mail to Karen Reinfeld. We will then deposit the discount for your account. The currently valid
author discount will be taken into account when invoicing.
» Editorial Work
Peer Review:
Most of our journals go through a (usually double-blind) peer review
process. This ensures additional quality assurance of your publication. You
can find more information about this on the page of the respective
journal.
At Budrich Journals we provide you with the contact details of the (externally working) editorial offices of our journals as well as information for authors and for the submission of articles. You will find this information on the landing page of the respective journal.
» Visibility for your Article
Budrich Journals:
Our German and English language
journals on Budrich Journals have a national and international readership.
With publication in one of our journals, your individual contribution
becomes visible for all visitors of Budrich Journals, for all (private and
institutional) subscribers of our journals as well as for global scientific
research.
Crossref:
We cooperate with
Crossref, the
largest registration agency for Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) of the
International DOI Foundation. Crossref creates permanent and worldwide
online citation links between scientific literature and enables the transfer
of the metadata of your article registered by us to search services,
bibliographic management software, library systems, subject databases etc.
through APIs. The DOI and the linking to the landing pages of your single
contribution on Budrich Journals ensures a clear and permanent
identification as well as worldwide accessibility and guaranteed findability
of the same. This way you get the opportunity to become more visible in the
worldwide scientific research. Please
contact us if
you would like to learn more about Crossref.
Marketing:
Through various marketing activities of our
publishing house your individual contribution will be advertised together
with the respective journal.
