RadiX offers a platform for the exchange of knowledge by collecting contributions on the latest developments in radicalization research and innovative prevention approaches.
At a time when radicalization tendencies are no longer only evident on the fringes of society, but also in the mainstream, an in-depth examination of the causes, dynamics and, above all, solutions is required. Radicalization is no longer seen as an isolated event, but as an ongoing process that becomes particularly evident in times of social conflict. These times not only sharpen the boundaries between groups, but also give rise to hostile feelings and an emphasis on social identities. The prevailing social tensions and divisions require a comprehensive view of the phenomenon of radicalization and the development of effective prevention strategies. The publication of a specialist journal in online format is a step towards creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and findings.
RadiX contributions focus on the latest developments in radicalization research that include interdisciplinary approaches and critical analyses that contribute to the development of effective prevention strategies. We are particularly interested in contributions that present innovative methods, theoretical advances and practice-oriented case studies. Submissions should reflect the different dimensions of this complex topic (racism, anti-Semitism, terrorism, Islamism, right-wing extremism (as well as other forms of extremism, conspiracy myths, but also democracy education, prevention and intervention) in order to provide a comprehensive insight into the challenges and possible solutions.
